Do we use granular or liquid nitrogen?
Everything we use is granular except the weed control. The weed control is Liquid because if we use granular weed control, it would just bounce off the weed.
How does your program work?
You have an option of doing plan A or Plan B. Plan A is the 6 application program. We are at your lawn 5 times and the 6th application is applied with the 3rd treatment. So that treatment is a double charge. Each treatment is spaced out around 5 to 6 weeks. And if you have weeds in between apps, just let us know and will come back to spray them at no charge. We are usually out within a day or two after you call us. The Plan B option is the six applications plus, a Lime and an aeration of your lawn.
What types of Aeration do you offer?
We offer a Core Aeration or Slit Aeration. Our slit aeration is called the Aeravator. This aerator will fracture the soil and put nine holes about 3/4 inch to 1 inch wide. Both aeration's are beneficial for the lawn. Just depends if you want the cores on the lawn or not. Most people do the traditional core aeration. If you want seed put down, we will use that Aeravator when doing this process. Above the tines of the Aeravator is a seed box that we can drop the seed into the holes putting down seed is an extra cost if you want this done.
How does the preventative grub control work?
The preventative grub control is applied with the third application. This app is put down between June and July. If you happen to have a beetle infestation, this product will take care of any larva eggs that are in the soil. If by some chance you do get a grub infestation, we will take care of the lawn at our cost, not yours. This is just a little added insurance for your lawn. Just a note though… If you don't want the preventative, grub control and you end up getting grubs, we will then have to put down a Post Grub Curative product. This product is triple the cost of any preventative, grub product. In addition, the Post Grub product only lasts approximately 20 to 25 days at the longest. So after the product wears off, you could possibly get another grub infestation. You can get up to three infestations in the fall. This can get quite costly. In my opinion, the preventative grub control is the way to go for your lawn. It's not worth the hassle or aggravation these insects can cause.
