TAPE MEASURE TEST

The best way to do this is to take a tape measure and measure the mower on a flat surface (concrete) and measure from the ground to the bottom of the blades (while mower is off).  Adjust the deck until you reach 3 inches to 3 1/2 inches on the tape measure. Many times, the manufacturer only put letters on the mower deck or they put numbers 1 through 6 on the deck. 99% of the time the number six is actually 3 inches but the homeowner thinks it’s 6 inches.  The tape measure is the BEST way to get the height you’re looking for.
